Plan you visit to the farm
The day of your visit.
Some important information to remember.
As always, we are open by appointment only, so be sure to book an appointment! We have always been open by appointment as this keeps things calm, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Our customers have always appreciated this policy.
On the day of your visit, assess the weather and conditions. Blueberries ripen over the summer, which is the hottest time of the year, so you need to be prepared for weather conditions with appropriate apparel. Avoid dark colors like red or black, as they will make you even hotter! Sunscreen, sunglasses and hats are a good idea, as well, especially for kids. Remember, kids’ small bodies get hot faster than adults, so they are more prone to heat exhaustion. This has happened! Avoid this with proper clothing, hats, and hydration. Although we do offer water bottles, you can certainly bring your own. You are welcome to bring snacks, too.
You might want to share your experience with friends and family members, which we encourage, but because of our tiny parking area, we have to limit your vehicles to 2 or less. As many people as you can fit inside your vehicle(s) is fine!
In our parking area we have 7 available spots, including one for handicapped parking.
When you book your appointment, you might notice that they are booked in 30 minute increments. This is to keep the flow of customers smooth. This does not mean that you are limited to 30 minutes! But, as there is often overlap, we ask that if you stay for an extended time that you be mindful of incoming visitors, and if you notice that the parking lot is becoming full, please make way for others. Our customers have always been very courteous and respectful of others, and we so appreciate this!
There is a county approved ADA bathroom in the farmstand, and it also has a changing table for your convenience. We do ask that you bring soiled diapers home with you.
Our parking area is just outside the field entrance, but we encourage you to lock your valuables in your cars. For your convenience, we also have lockers in the farmstand where you can keep your belongings you don’t want to carry around with you in the field.
We have pre-weighed, washed/sanitized buckets for you to use, but if you want to use your own buckets to pick in, please have them weighed at the counter before you head out to pick, so we can subtract the tare weight.
Also, we ask that you bring your own take home containers. The best are mesh grocery bags, paper bags, or any other breathable container you have. Sun-warmed berries will “sweat” in a closed container, meaning they will lose moisture and therefore lose some of that firm, juicy freshness.
